Other interesting facts about the club

History
The Club was originally known as Loughton Athletic and were formed from the Loughton youth set up. Bob Tayor provided the £378.80 to get us going. The first two seasons were played at Crownhill. Many of the players have been together since that time. The original manager, Julian Hardwick, ran the club with a small committee until part way through the 2005/06 season. Since then the Club has been run and organised by the members.
Our status as an FA Charter Standard Club was awarded by the FA on 14th July 2008.

Previous grounds
Crownhill (2003-05),
Manor Fields (2005-07)
Walnut Tree (2007-9)

Clubs quickest goal
On Saturday 10th April 2010 Ryan closed down the keeper and scored from the rebound to put us up 1-0 after just 24 seconds. Is this the quickest goal we have scored in a match?

North Bucks District Football League Awards
From the start of the 2007 season the Management Committe of the NBDFL have started to monthly reward clubs in each division based on administration, conduct and general commitment to the league and football.
We have won this twice
October 2007 - Prize a matchball provided by EE Sports.
December 2008 - Prize 2 practice balls
September 2009 - Prize - 2 practice balls
Our first points of in the North Bucks Premier Division came when Thornborough Athletic were unable to raise a team.

In the second half of our 2006/07 league season our record was:
P15 W14 D1 L0 F43 A 12 Pts 43

Stand in Keeper James Hardwick has faced 2 penalties, and saved them both!
The Club Badges have been designed by Alex Taylor-Law.

During 2004/05 we used 14 goalkeepers in the season including:
Chris Storer, Mike Landy, Pete Gwynne, Liam Cusack, JP, Dave Brennan, James Hardwick, Julian Hardwick, Will Smith, Luke Checkley.

During 2006 David Brennan scored a second half hat-trick in a 3-2 win. Half time score 0-2. All scored from the penalty spot.

10 players who played for the club in its first season back in 2003 were in the 2006/07 squad. In the 2008/09 season we still had 6.

Our first 4 games in 2004 saw 4 wins 29 goals for and 6 against. Seven hat-tricks Jaz Gill (3) Dom Lawless, Jamie Lands, Pete Gwynne and Matt Griffiths.

In our first season Matt Griffiths scored 10 goals from 27 games - most from fullback. Matt is sure it was 16 goals, so we will have to check the archives.

Bletchley Manor (As Loughton Athletic) are one of the few teams to beat the (almost) all conquering PB(MK) 2-0 in the Div 1 Trophy Final with goals from Luke Checkley and Dan Toon.
